Fantabulous Flower Friday

Hey there crafty friends! I was asked by a friend to make a bouquet of flowers that could be given to her boss. She is planning on having her coworkers sign the backs of them and it’ll be a cute little display. (She’ll attach the flat flowers after everyone writes their message to the back of the 3D flowers.) This is such a fun challenge for me as I’ve never made 3D paper flowers before. This is my first attempt:

Here’s what I used to create this blossom:
12 Big Petals from Sizzix Succulents Thinlits
4 Medium Petals Pieces
4 Small Petals Pieces
1 Stamen/Pistil from Sizzix Stephanie Bernard Framlits 3D Drop Ins
1 Skewer Colored with G29 Copic Marker
1 Section of Green Ribbon
1 Brad
2 Large Sizzix Flowers for the base
Lawn Fawn Plastic Flamingo Ink

This took some time to ink up each petal, but oh so worth it!

Fun for a Friday! What fun are you having? If you aren’t having fun, you must not be crafting! Go get your craft on!

Throwback Thursday With Thia

Hey there crafty friends, Thia here with this weeks throw back. I pulled this sketch out of my archives for ya! I’d love to see what you end up creating using this sketch. Come find us on Facebook and post a picture of your card in the comments section of our post with the sketch!

I went ahead and created a card using my Lawn Fawn Stamps and Spiced Sunshine Stamps (I sure do miss those days creating stamps sets). Of course when I showed my son this card, he said it’s cute, but the pun has been used a lot (then he proceeded to show me a Disney short).

Whatcha Working On Wednesday

Whatcha working on Wednesday? Thia here, today I created this fun Valentine using Lawn Fawn’s Whale You Be Mine set and an old Spiced Sunshine Stamps Languages of Love set. The sentiment was created with white embossing powder to make it pop out on the black card-stock. Used a paintbrush to dust off unwanted powder surrounding my sentiment. The whales were colored using Copic Markers colors C0-C5.

You can find these crafting supplies and more in my shop.
