Boo-tiful! 3D Inspiration

Happy day-before Halloween, crafty friends.  Julie here today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers.  The current challenge on the Get Inky! Challenge blog is 3D Holiday. Being so close to Halloween, I just HAD to create a "spooky" 3D character for some inspiration!

This treat bag is cut out on my Silhouette and stamped with the Get Inky! Stamps 2013 Halloween set.  Isn't it adorable?  Perfect for a little treat for the ghosts and goblins in your life!

Got Candy?

Hey stampers! Ashley here today with some Halloween inspiration for our Buttons on a Halloween Card challenge.

For my design team project I created quick and simple card using 3/8" Yellow/Orange Grossgrain Diagonal May Arts ribbon from Sparkly Sweet Craft Notions, whom I'm guest designing for this month. As soon as I saw this ribbon my immediate thought was candy corn, which inspired me to use the 'Got candy?' sentiment from Get Inky's Halloween stamp set:

The digital stamp is called "Cute Little Candy Corn" and is from Meljen's Designs. I colored it with copics Y13, Y15, Y19, YR04, YR07, and YR09. I used some Diamond Stickles on the swirls to add some sparkle. I adhered a button to the ribbon for a final touch, I love how it's a pop of white next to the digital stamp.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, and we hope to see you playing along in our challenge!

Kathy says "Bee Happy"

Happy Monday, to all our Get Inky! friends!!!

Kathy here today from Up in the Night with Kat with some inspiration for you.  But first, I want to tell you how excited and honored I am to have been asked to be a Guest Designer for Get Inky! Stamps.  So THANK YOU, Thia, for this wonderful opportunity!!!

As many of you know, I just LOVE Get Inky! stamps . . . they are so versatile and so cute!!!  And because they are so versatile, I was able to use the "Buzzing Bees" stamp set on a fall card for this week's challenge on Get Inky! Challenge blog.

The current challenge on the Get Inky! Challenge blog is a Fall or Halloween card with buttons.  At first, I was unsure what I was going to do because I don't have the Get Inky! Stamps "Halloween Spooktacular 2013" stamp set (it is actually the only one I do NOT have . . . BUT it is on it way as we "speak" right now -- lol).  But then as I was looking out at my flowers, a light bulb went on . . . I saw some bees just buzzing around . . . going from flower to flower, collecting the pollen so they can make honey and store it up for the winter, and being a "country" girl, I knew this was something they do every FALL to get ready for winter.

So there I had it . . . I was going to use my "Buzzing Bees" stamp set for my card.

Since I needed more "generic" cards for my card stash, I decided to keep my card CAS (clean and simple) card for this challenge with just a little color from some twine.  In addition to my stamping, I used Marigold and Charcoal twine from the Twinery, wrapping it around the top-middle part of the card twice and folded up the bottom corner of the front of the card and attached a button.  I also used a little bit of "Frosted" Stickles on the wings of my bees to give them a little something.

Remember, the current challenge at Get Inky! was doing a card with a Fall or
Halloween theme . . . with buttons as the a twist.

Thanks so much for stopping by
. . . hope to see you again!!!
 Kathy

Oh, one more thing . . . if you want to find out how to win a $15 gift certificate to

Buttons on Halloween -- a Little Spooky Inspiration

Happy Hump Day, Get Inky! friends.  Julie here today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers with some Halloween inspiration.

The current challenge on the Get Inky! Challenge blog is Buttons with Halloween.  I absolutely love any chance I can get to play with the Get Inky! Stamps "Halloween Spooktacular 2013" stamp set, so I had a great time creating this card...

I give away many Halloween cards in the nursing home where I work, and I think someone will have a fun time getting this one!
I stamped the ghost 3 times, fussy cutting each of them, then "strung" them from the Halloween twine clothesline.  The ghosts and the wonderful sentiment, along with many, many more great images and sentiments, can be found on the Get Inky! Stamps "Halloween  Spooktacular 2013" stamp set.

Fall Colors Challenge ~ Sue B

Happy Day all!

Today I get to be guest designer here at Get Inky! Stamps for the Fall Colors Challenge. Well Fall colors makes me think of Halloween and I just had to make this special Halloween Birthday card. There is a special young lady turning 1 and we thought she would be a Halloween baby. Well, she made her appearance on my daughter's birthday on the 22nd and surprised us all! Here is the card I made:

Did you know that you can stamp directly on patterned paper to dress up your stamped images? I learned this from my dear friend Cardmonkey and opted to do this for my card. I used the 2013 Spooktacular Halloween set for the ghosts and the one eyed monster. I decided to cut the fence with black patterned paper too.

See the sentiment? Well it is actually a combination of two different stamp sets. I used the 2013 Spooktacular Halloween set for the Boo-tiful and the rest of the sentiment is from the Beary Special Cupcake set. I enjoyed making this card and am planning on using this format for a scrapbook page for our grandchildren's Halloween pics. Thanks for coming by and sharing this time with me. Until next time.....

FALL CHALLENGE

Hi Tracey here today!!!

This is my tag I have made for the challenge theme, great idea to but on a present for Halloween or thanksgiving!!

So I have used just one stamp for this but still looks affected!! The little pumpkin stamp is from
2013 Spooktacular Halloween Set 6x8" which you can get from the shop here.

So I have made the tag & around the edges using a distress inks. Then added a lovely shimmer brown card on top. Then stamp out the pumpkins & coloured in with my copic pens. Then punch a hole & added the twine to finish. A very simple tag but I think can be used for many things.

Thanks for looking today & please join in our Challenge which is here.

Lyne's Fall Colors Inspiration

Hi everyone...Lyne here with a guess designer post as inspiration for the current challenge: Fall Colors.
This was my first time using digital stamps, and it was a lot of fun.  It brought my back to coloring as a child.

I used the Funky Flower digi set, and Sailboat set.  Both can be found on the Etsy shop.  For more info please head over to my blog.  Can't wait to see what you create for the challenge.

Fall Colours Card

Fall is my favourite time of year as I love seeing all the beautiful colours that Nature makes.  Today I am sharing with you a card I made that can double as a frame for a picture (Wallet size).  It is great for mailing as it folds completely flat.  This card looks like it is made of wood but that is just paper that I worked my magic on!  Seriously, nothing magical, just crafty.  I used the stamps from two sets by Get Inky! stamps  (available here).
I used the 2013 Halloween set and the Love Bugs set.   The other supplies I used will be listed on my blog: Annmakes

Now stop reading this and go play, Get Inky! and enter the challenge.  Have fun, and thanks for stopping by.

A Simple Thank You

Sometimes the most cherished 'thank yous' are the simplest ones! I love to have a stash of thank you cards on hand for those little moments when someone goes out of their way to help you. As a crafter, I like to say 'thank you' the best way I know how... with a card!

I created this card with the theme of our current challenge in mind - fall colors! The circles were cut with a 1" hole punch from Echo Park's new Reflections Fall paper collection. The 'Thank You' sentiment is from Get Inky's "Sew Sweet Cupcake" stamp set.

Although the card is really simple it would be great to have a stash of these around during the fall months, or even sold in a set at a craft show!

Have a great rest of your week, and thanks for stopping by!
