Angelique's Bling

Good morning ladies & gents.
My inspiration post for our second challenge with the theme Bling.

For my card, I've printed digi sailboat twice
I've used 1 print to cut the parts.
Sails, boat & flag
Placed these on my bling paper and drew with pencil around them.
Then cut everything out.
On the 2nd print, I've coloured the background with pearl chalks and then glued the cut out bling parts on the right places.
Next I've placed it on my double folded cardstock and embelished with some rhinestones.
It's different from what I usualy make, but it was fun to do.

Now dont forget that everyone who enters our challenge will get 3 free digi stamps, how awesome
is that,  and the winner will receive this awesome stamp set.

So Get Inky! and bring on the Bling.

Huggsss, Angelique

Have a Rockin' Birthday!

Have you all been getting inky lately?! If not, make sure to join in our current challenge - it's all about bling! My favorite. :) Life is always better with a little sparkle!

This challenge inspired me to create a birthday card for my sister. I used the 'Happy Birthday' sentiment from the Joyful Jar Drinks stamp set.

The plaid paper is from Recollections (bought it forever ago in a single sheet sale - so happy to finally use it) and cut the guitar with my Cameo. Added some twine around the border and blinged up the guitar a bit - and ta da!

I also added a chipboard musical note that I added covered in Silver Ice Stickles to match the glittered accents on the guitar. Stickles are my favorite!

Don't forget to link up your bling projects! One lucky winner will receive this awesome stamp set:

Hope to see you gettin' inky with us!

Annmakes a Bling Sailboat

Hi, Look what I baked up this week!  For the Get Inky! challenge which is "Bling". Yes, I baked this.  It is made of shrink plastic, no kidding!

I downloaded this awesome Sailboat Digital stamp from Get Inky! for Blue Moon Creations.  I scaled the image to 250% and printed it onto a Frosted Ruff n Ready Shrink plastic sheet (rough side) which measured 8 x 10 inches prior to shrinking. First I cut the scallop edge of the plastic and pierced the top two holes and the 6 scallop holes with my trusty Crop-A-Dile set at 3/16. ( It is easier to cut the shrink plastic prior to baking.)  I coloured the sailboat on the rough sid, where it was printed, with my Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils in :  Ivory, White, Brown Ochre, Gold Ochre, and Van Dyke Brown.  I also used a Prismacolor Premier marker in Sepia.

Over on the shiny side I used Adirondack alcohol inks in the colours: Bottle, Stonewashed, Stream, Pool, and Sailboat blue.  To apply the inks I squirted  several drops on the plastic and blended the colours with an Adirondack felt applicator.

I followed the baking instructions on the package for the Shrink Plastic and it turned into a 4 x 6 inch piece.  I intended to use this as a sun catcher to hang in a window.  However, I was unable to get a good photograph of it in a real window, it is difficult to capture an object while looking straight at the sun!

I used some beads from other project left overs and some broken jewelry and I threaded them onto jewelry string which I hung from the holes in the scallops.  I made the hanger out of an unwanted old macrame and glass bead bracelet.  I chose it because of the seashell in  the large top glass bead. I attached some brads with bling through the two top holes of the plastic  to hold the bracelet/hanger.  The hanging beads had some bling and I added more with some Stickles.
I found this small glass ring type bead encrusted with faux rhinestones and decided it would make a cute  decoration on the side of the sailboat.

Check out the challenge from Get Inky! and have fun with some bling!
There will be a top three chosen.  AND, One Super Inky! winner who will receive this set.   All participants will receive THREE FREE DIGI STAMPS.

Don't forget to check out other good stuff at Blue Moon Creations.  To see more of my projects go have a look at my blog Annmakes.blogspot.com.  Don't forget to leave a comment and your email in the box to the left so you can follow my going ons.

Thanks for looking and go  GetInky!

Bringing On The Bling

Hi! Thia here, from Get Inky! Stamps by Blue Moon Creation sharing a few of the Design Team's projects that were inspired by the current challenge over at Get Inky! Challenge...Bring On The Bling. All participants will receive THREE FREE DIGI STAMPS for participating. We will be picking a Top 3 and will be awarding one Super Inky! winner who will receive this sweet sample stamp set:

Here is what the Get Inky! Design Team has cooked up for us for Bring On The Bling:

This last project was a layout that I created...I used the butterfly page from DWCW School Days pack. Such a cute pack of paper, I bought two packs in hopes of it lasting a while so the book can match. Then I stamped on my bumblebee from the Buzzing Bees Stamp Set from Get Inky! by Blue Moon Creation (yup, that's me!). I added the bee happy sentiment along with the trail and dotted heart. Why the bee among butterflies you may be thinking? Well, my son's teacher always signs her emails bee happy, so I figured this fit. She loves bees. I stamped the bee again on white paper to color with my copics, fussy cut, and then glued it on top of the first stamped bee on the page. (This keeps his antenna with him and adds dimension). I then add glitter by means of stickles to it's wings. (The butterflies were already glitterified (my new word for glitter all over something). I added gemstones to the curls and then added my son's picture.
Cute layout? I think so. You decide...

Thanks so much for stopping by! We hope to start seeing your inky bling creations soon. HERE is where you can enter our Bring On The Bling Challenge. Now hurry, go get inky!

With Heartfelt Sympathy

Big wave to everyone from the Netherlands.
I'm Angelique and you can find me on EngelDesignsScrap

On our Get Inky! Challenge Blog we have a sketch challenge, which will run untill 4/14.

I know we all enjoy crafting and like to do that with a smile upon our faces.
However sometimes it's not all rosebuds and sunshine.

For my sympathy card I've used the Heartfelt Sympathy Banner.
The flower is made of black 120gr. paper.
The Cardstock I got from the market and it has a realy nice structure.
The moment I saw it, I just knew it would be perfect for my card.

As this is a sympathy card, I didnt want to add much embelishments.
Just clean and simple.

Now its your turn. Remember you have 3 days left to join us.
Hop on over to our Get Inky! Challenge Blog and show us your creativity.
Lets Get Inky!

A lil' "BEE Cheerful" Inspiration

Know someone who needs a little pick me up?  Well how about  this card.   It certainly brought a smile to my face when I made it.  As a Guest Designer , I was inspired to make this card based on the  challenge Sketch going on at the Get Inky! challenge blog.

With the  "Buzzing Bee Trail" digital stamp  from Get Inky! I printed this little guy onto some white card stock, coloured him with one of my favourite water colours; H2 0 LuminArte.  (To see the details of this project please visit my blog:  http://annmakes.blogspot.com)..

The green print flowers were made with "DCWV" paper  and "Cuddlebug" dies.  I made the largest flower with a "Stampin'Up! "paper shaper.  The picket fence was made with white cardstock and the "Creative Memories" Border Maker.

The card base was made from a pre made and pre scored white 5 x 6.5" card by "Recollections" (Michaels), that I painted in a wash with some of the above mentioned blue and green water colours.

So to see more great projects you might want to check out the Get Inky! challenge and Stamp blogs for Blue Moon Creation.

And to see more of my creations please check out Annmakes.

I hope you enjoy!  Bee Cheerful!  bzzzzbzzzzbzzz

Using the "THANKS" sentiment from the Buzzing Bees stamp set, I created this card for a coworker (who just happens to be an amazing bowler) for a birthday treat he brought me at work! Such a sweet thing for him to do. :)

And of course the card is inspired by our sketch challenge!

I have gone for the Buzzing Bee Heart Trail Digi which you can get here.

So I have used a bright yellow background. I have printed off the bee twice & flip one to go the other way, coloured them with promarkers & added some crystal glitter . Then following the sketch I have added a pale blue panel, with a big flower I have made. Added the banners & a sentiment I made. Did mine faux stitch around the edges.
