Let's Talk Turkey!

Hello, crafty friends! Julie here today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers. I am very pleased to have the opportunity to guest design today. Thanks to Anne and Thia for this chance to use these great digis!I was on the Get Inky! design team last year, and enjoyed working with Anne and Thia very much!
It's not quite Halloween, but Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Today, I'm talking turkey....

Now, this is a colorful, spoiled turkey!  You gotta love that sentiment!  I used a digi set from BMMCS.  You can find this in the Digi Digi Doodle Etsy Shop HERE.
I colored the turkey with Copic markers, concentrating on the fantastic tail, because, after all, he IS a spoiled turkey, so he HAS to look GOOD!
I used 2 sizes of the Spellbinders die #38 on this card, wrapping it in Tuxedo Black Timeless Twine. The designer papers are from Lawn Fawn Sweater Weather 6x6 pad (available through the Blue Moon Creation Crafting Station!)  The card base is Kraft card stock from Close To My Heart.
This cute little digi was very fun to work with -- simple to color, and loaded with possibilities!  Again, thanks to BMCCS for the chance to guest design today!

Coloring Faces and Hair with Copic Markers

Hi crafty friends! Thia here for today's Whatcha Working on Wednesday post. Recently, I was hired by my local scrapbooking shop to teach classes on how to use Copic Markers. So, I set up to teach the basics. I was contacted by a store customer asking if she could hire me to teach her about hair coloring. So, with one week to put together this lesson, that's what I'm working on now. Originally, I was going to show you a peek of a You Tube video for tomorrow, but it's not what I am truly working on right now. That being said, let me tell you a bit more...

Two days before my regular scheduled class at the shop, I called to see if we had any takers. Nope. So, I wrote it off as a no go and hadn't prepped materials. That night, I get a call asking if I'd hold class for two. Sure, why not. It'd be a great start for my first class.

Need I say how frantic I became? My craft table looks horrible. I have no room for anything!!! It's one big mess pile now! So tomorrow's planned video is a BUST. It's just not going to happen. I'm sorry. So, here's what we at the Crafting Station will have for YOU instead...

Come back tomorrow for my beginners workshop file on Copic Coloring! I will post practice digis and the pamphlet...both for FREE! You'll just have to grab them off the website. (Limited time offer.)

So...get out, have fun...and don't forget to come back and get your craft on!

Tuesday Fun!

Hey there!  Maria here today with a Halloween themed card which fits into our October challenge!  There is still time to play along!

Here is what I made:

I started with Stampin Up cardstock in Tangerine Tango and used some fun Halloween paper by Me and My Big Ideas.  The images are digis from Digi Digi Doodle.  The butterfly is called Whimsey Butterfly and the sentiment is called Boo Bag Poem and Images.  The ribbon is in my stash from Michael's. I "distressed" the edges for a rough look.

I thought it would be fun to color the butterfly in Halloween colors and use him along with the great sentiment!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

It's freebie friday!  So the digi, I've used on my card is free!   I'm pleased to share my card with today.

Halloween/Fall Inspiration

Hi, it's Susan here...
There is still plenty of time to enter the Fall/Halloween Challenge!

My first inspirational post was a 'Fall' card - today it's a Halloween one!
Again I am making a tiny card - A7 - about 4 x 3 inches.

I printed my image - spider and web from Digi Digi Doodle - wallet size to accommodate this, and the 'Boo!' even smaller. Did you know that the 'Boo!' is currently a freebie at Digi Digi Doodle?

Find a few more details on my blog!

Like last time I still had an image to hand - so like last time I made a matching ATC:

Both very simple, but pretty effective I think!

Happy Crafting!

Halloween Fun

So are you ready to see my full project from yesterday's sneaky peek?

Here you go:

I used digi stamps from Digi Digi Doodle, solid paper is from Stampin Up and the pattern paper is by Me & My Big Ideas.

I wanted to take advantage of the cool pattern papers in this paper pack so I used it as my background which works well for the broom and web.

Thanks so much for swinging by and checking out my Halloween creation!

Till next time!

Creating Halloween Crafts From Stamps by Cathie Rigby

Cathie Rigby created this cute Halloween project with the Spiced Sunshine oval set as pictured above. Pretty creative, right?
I love how she stamps the mouth twice and connects the ends then adds the black to the bottom to make it look like the mummy's mouth is open! So many possibilities with these stamps! Love it!

Come join our challenge this month on our Crafting Station Challenge Blog, for your chance to win a club membership or a set of stamps!

Halloween/Fall Inspiration

Hello there, it's Susan here!
And yes we're back - after quite a break - but with lots of new things for you!

Our current challenge is Hallowe'en/Fall - find it at the Crafting Station Challenge

I decided to make a tiny A7 card (about 4 x 3) - I love making ATC's and this isn't much bigger!

Anyway I printed out Summer Waves Goodbye from Digi Digi Doodle wallet size...

Here's my card:

But I then got a little carried away as I had printed the image three times...

Here's an ATC...

and here's a slightly larger card!!

All with the same image and layering papers of similar autumnal colours...
Find more details at my blog

Hope you will join our challenge - Have you noticed the digi freebie here?
Why not make a card using that?

Happy Crafting!
