Cool and Glittery Lemonade fun - Get, Inky! Style

Hello, Get, Inky! friends! It's Jessi from Kissin' Krafts.  Have you had time to enter our Glitter Challenge on the Get, Inky! Challenge Blog? If not, what are you waiting for? There is still time to create! Grab that glitter and GO!

Here is the card I made using the Get, Inky! Stamps Joyful Jar Drinks set:

As soon as I heard of the glitter challenge, I was somewhat worried! I do not craft with glitter, so I was stumped on what I was going to create! So as I was staring at my Get, Inky! sets, it finally dawned on me to use glitter on the ice stamp from the Joyful Jar Drinks set! I am super pleased with how that turned out!

We cannot wait to see what you create! Stop by the Get, Inky! Challenge Blog to see the details and prizes that could be yours!

Are YOU a Glitter Fan?

Hello, Get Inky! Stamps fans, it's Julie from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers with today's glittery inspiration.  And it's Wednesday -- I can see the weekend from here!  Woot!

I don't know about you, but I am not a huge glitter fan.  It's way too messy for me.  I once made a glittery project out on my deck on a cold day in October, and I STILL found glitter from one end of my house to the other.  There seems to be no way to avoid it.  Especially with 3 dogs (that make 12 paws) tracking it around with them. So, I tend to use glitter alternatives, like glitter glue.  So, even though the current theme is glitter.  I cheated just a little bit.  See what you think!

I used a Get Inky! digi stamp on the sailboat and paper pieced it.  That was a new digi technique for me, but was very easy to do.  Then, after I fussy cut each piece, I used a corresponding color of glitter glue, a spritz of water, and a paint brush, and painted on my glitter glue.  Here's a close up so you can hopefully see the sparkle a little better.

Can you see how each piece of the sailboat -- even the flag -- has it's own glittery wonderfulness to it?  It's a great technique if you don't like to get messy.

The "Birthday Wishes" sentiments is from the Get Inky! Stamps Sew Sweet Cupcakes stamp set.

For more about this card, please visit my blog and tell me what you think of my glitter technique.  Did I cheat?  Don't forget to link up to the current glitter challenge.

And the Get Inky! Stamps design team is having their first (FIRST) 1st ever blog hop June1-3 for National REPEAT r-e-p-e-a-t repeat day!  Please join us for all the fun starting here!

When Life Gives You Lemons...Add Glitter!

Hi, Its Ann here from the Get Inky! Design Team and today I have my spin on our Glitter challenge going on at our challenge blog.  I made this summery card with the intention of it being used as an all girls (sorry guys) only crafty party invitation.   The outside reads "When life gives you lemons" and the inside reads; "Make lemonade".  Both sentiments are from the "Joyful Jars" cling stamp set from Blue Moon.

The sentiment on the face of the card was stamped with Barn Door red Distress ink by Ranger, and I stamped it onto a digital stamp "Banner" from Get Inky! for Blue Moon Creation.  The papers I used are from my stash of G 45 Bathing Beauties papers. I made the lacey border on the papers' edges with a Creative Memories border maker and Scallops cartridge.  The mini pom pom trim and the dotted swiss ribbon trims are both from Stampin' Up!.  Note that the little brads holding up the banner are tall glasses of lemonade, these were from my own stash.  I used the jar and the handle stamp from the Joyful Jars Cling Stamps collection from Get Inky!  I stamped with black Archival ink onto some scraps of plastic left over from some packaging.  I traced the outline of both images with a black glaze pen to add some relief.  Once the ink was dry I added   extra fine glitters by Glitter Ritz.  The lemonade in the jar is actually just the bottom part of the jar which I stamped onto a scrap of card stock and coloured with pencils.  The ice cubes and lemon wedges are also stamps from the Joyful Jars collection which I stamped onto white card stock, coloured with glaze pens and added Glitter ritz. The ice cubes and lemons are under the plastic and over the lemonade to give it that 3-D look.  I used dimensional foam and some paper manipulating techniques to give the lemonade a concave look and adhered the plastic and papers together with Glossy Accents.  The whole jar is fixed to the card with dimensional foam.

I hope that this gives you some inspiration on how to use stamps and glitter.  Please check out the challenge blog and give it a try!  Also, join us from Saturday June 1 to 3 for our very first Blog Hop!  We are all very excited about this.  And if you would like to see what else I am up to just pop over to my blog: Annmakes!  Thanks for viewing and go GetInky!

Good day all! This is Susan and I get to be Guest Designer today here at Get Inky! Stamps. I have to say that I love die cuts and it definitely assisted me in this challenge.

For this card, I used the Top Note die with my Cuttlebug after gluing down 1 inch squares on a scrap piece of paper. I love the scrappy quilt look of this . The stamp set that I used is the Sew Sweet Cupcakes set that you can find over at Blue Moon Creations. I hope that this gives you inspiration to come and join our challenge at the Get Inky Challenge Blog for our Show Us Some Die Cuts Challenge. Hurry on over as it closes out tomorrow. Until next time....

Design Team Inspiration

Hello Scrappy World!  Tonya here to share with you my take on the Die Cut Challenge at Get Inky!

My die cut bee is a file from Scraptastical Kreations.  The bee was perfect for the Blue Moon Creations Buzzing Bees Stamp Set.  The sentiment I chose from the set is one piece.  So, I inked the half that I wanted to be able to seperate the phrases.   The bee's face is a face stamp from Peachy Keen Stamps.  I inked it in white so that it would stand out against the papers.  The flowers on the yellow strip are from the Buzzing Bees Stamp Set.  I spruced them up with Black Diamond Stickles, of course.  =)

Buzzing Die Cuts

Hi There! It's me Ann from the Design Team here at Get Inky!
Today I get to share with you my take on using die cuts with some fabulous stamps from Get Inky! for Blue Moon Creation.

Here is my bookmark.  For those of us who still read paper books!

I used a piece of gold paper as the base.  I die cut a white piece of card stock with a Honey comb steel die by Cuddle bug.  I overlaid  the white honey comb on the gold back ground.  I made a ticket from some more white card stock and I used a steel die by Spellbinders which I embossed after  cutting. Using some Distress yellow ink by Ranger, I added the colour to its edges.  I used a Get Inky! clear stamp "What's the BUZZ all about" to stamp the saying.  Onto another small piece I stamped a Bee, also from the Get Inky! clear stamp collection.  Both stamps are from the Buzzing Bees collection over at Get Inky! I coloured the bee with   white and yellow coloring pencils.  I just cut out the bee and used a piece of dimensional foam tape to adhere it to the ticket and then the bookmark.  I made the cord from a black and white twisted wool with some yellow embroidery thread.  I also made the tassel with the same strings.  I had this cute bee button that I threaded the cord through the shank.

Don't forget to check out the Die Cuts challenge going on.

I hope that this gives you some ideas on the many ways you can combine die cuts and stamps.  Thanks for looking!  You can check out more of my ideas at my blog: Annmakes.http://annmakes.blogspot.com

I'm sharing a card -- help me share my excitement!

Greetings, Get Inky fans!  My name is Julie Odil and I'm pleased to be a new designer for the Get Inky! stamps team.  Today is my first post and I'm super excited to be here!

Here's a picture of my girl, Molly and I.  Molly is a 12 year old Golden Retriever.  I have 3 Goldens in my house.  One of them, Sophie, goes to work with me everyday.  She and I both work full-time in the local nursing home.  I work as the activity director.  She works at spreading joy and collecting treats. If you follow my blog, Muddy Paws and Inky Fingers (and I hope you do!), you'll hear tales of my dogs.  I occasionally talk of my husband of 29 years, too!

I love, love, love to stamp, so being on this design team is sooooo much fun for me.  If I can find a way to stamp on a project, I do.  And the Get Inky! Stamps have so many possibilities.  This is going to be great!

I made a card for you today using stamps from two sets -- "Sew Sweet Cupcakes" and "Buzzing Bees".  They are both available here in the store. For more details about the card, please visit my blog.

There's still time to link up to the current challenge and win your choic of 3 free digis, but you'll want to get going because the challenge ends at midnight tonight.  Hurry! It's worth! There's great digi stamps in the store to choose from!

I look forward to many more happy stamping moments with Get Inky! Stamps.

CAS with Get, Inky! Stamps

Hello, Get, Inky! fans! It's Jessi here from Kissin' Krafts. Today I am super excited to share a card I made using the Sew Sweet Cupcakes and Buzzing Bees stamp sets.

As you may know, the current challenge over on the Get, Inky! Challenge blog is Flowers. So I created this very simple card that would be perfect for birthdays or even for Mother's Day!

To create the stems of the flowers, I used the cupcake wrapper ribbon stamp (from the Sew Sweet Cupcakes) and taped off one side during the inking process. When I was ready to stamp, I simple removed the tape and stamped the image.

I really  love the flowers the stamps create when you use the back of the flower stamps in the Sew Sweet Cupcakes stamp set. Once I stamp the flower backing, I used the dot stamp to create the center of the flowers. Last, I used the outline flower stamp to highlight the flowers a little more.

The simple sentiment is from the Buzzing Bees stamp set. To add dimension to the card, I added the sentiment on foam dots, to make it pop off the card.

Thank you for stopping by today! Hope you all will hop on over to the Get, Inky! Challenge blog and share your flower creation!

Don't Worry BEE happy!

Hi! My name is La-Vie Borde-Perry and this is officially my first post as a design team member for Get Inky! Stamps by Blue Moon Creation! I'm so excited! I've been learning a lot and having fun already!!!

Here's my life in a nutshell: I'm a wife, mother of 2 and entrepreneur.
I began scrapbooking in 2005 when my daughter was born 10 weeks premature. I was struck by an urgent need to document her life. My father, a professional painter and artist, always took many pictures and created albums with detailed info on the picture backs. I never knew I had the 'artist gene' until I started scrapbooking and journaling. My crafts are my heart and soul displayed for all to see. They are works of art that evoke emotion; sometimes laughter, other times tears. I consider myself to be an all-around crafter that will try any type of craft at least once.
My style is clean and simple. My favorite techniques are stamping (physical and digital), masking, using Tim Holtz Distress Ink to create backgrounds, dry and heat embossing, coloring with Copic, Tim Holtz Distress or watercolor markers, mosaic layouts, paper piecing with die cuts, using flowers, ribbon, bling or glitter to add that wow factor. In my layouts, the pictures are the star, however I love to set the scene in order for those pictures to shine.
Friends urged me to turn my passion into a home-based business in 2011. Thus, C'est La-Vie Designs Unlimited, LLC was born. I love to create custom, unique crafts for clients. One of my top three crafty goals for 2013 was to join a progressive design team to showcase my talents while meeting many new crafty friends. I'm so glad to serve on the Get Inky! Stamps Design Team by Blue Moon Creation. Let the inspiration begin!

There's still time to join in on the current Get Inky! Stamps challenge Fabulous Floral Fun - use flowers in your project. I really let my creativity fly on this one to inspire and entice you! Get Inky! Stamps offers flowers in both physical and digital form but I wanted to show you how to get more out of the stamps by creating my own flower. The stamps I used were the bow in the Joyful Jar Drinks set, the curved ribbon in the Sew Sweet Cupcakes set and the bee and sentiment from the Buzzing Bees set. For more information on this card and a detailed tutorial with pictures please visit my blog.

To purchase Get Inky! Stamps and create your own masterpiece, please stop by the website.

3-D Flowers and Bees, Oh My!

Hi Inky followers! Thia here with a layout I created using the Get Inky! Stamps Mini Buzzing Bees Bee-Day Set (sneak peak at our new set soon to be available) and a sentiment from the Buzzing Bees Set. I stamped the bees directly onto the page as well as on a sheet of white to fussy cut, color and add dimension. I colored the bees in using Copic Markers...I used their clear glitter pen on the wings.

On the flowers, I fussy cut sections from additional flowers (scraps) and used glue or dimensional double sided adhesive tape for a 3-D look. I topped the flowers with pearls to match the paper.

The paper is from Recollections, The Neapolitan Collection (nice stuff and it was on sale at Michaels! Buy one get one FREE!).

This week at Peachy Keen Challenge their theme is flowers too! Why not link up HERE and THERE?! (I'm so excited as I'm scheduled to be a Guest Designer for them on Tuesdays next month!)

Thanks for stopping by today! We can't wait to see how you Get Inky!

Just BEE-cause...

Happy Friday! Ashley here today to share with you some inspiration for our current Fabulous Floral Fun Challenge!

One lucky winner will receive a sample stamp set from Get Inky! and EVERYONE who enters the challenge will receive their choice of THREE digital stamps - how awesome is that?!

I made a treat bag for the challenge using a few stamps from our Buzzing Bees stamp set. I love how versatile the set is!

So easy to make, and the stamps work great! They're stamped in Memento "Tuxedo Black" ink. More details about the treat bag can be found on my blog. I filled the treat bag with lemon drops - and boy am I glad there were extra left because I've been snacking on them like crazy. Maybe I'll just have to give the treat bag to myself... :)

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you linking up!

Fabulous Floral Fun Inspiration

Happy Wednesday!

The current challenge over on the Get Inky! Challenge blog is Fabulous Floral Fun - use flower(s) on your project.  AND every participant who follows the challenge rules when participating in our challenge will receive 3 FREE DIGI STAMPS!!!   Woo Hoo!!

Here's my take on the Fabulous Floral Fun challenge............

I used Blue Moon Creation's Buzzing Bees Stamp Set for this little cutie.  The stamp set has a flower included, but no leaves/stems.  So I got creative.  :-)  The set includes two 'bee tracks,' one dashed and one solid lined.  I took the solid 'tracks' and inked just the portion I wanted and stameds the 'stems and leaves,' then stamped the flower on top.   Perfect!!   After I added the bee and his trail, I used distress inks (Salty Ocean & Mowed Lawn) to color the background.  The flowers and bee were colored with distress and Copic markers.  Pearls were added to the centers to give the card some dimension.  A touch of icicle Stickles to finish the bee's wings.

Go Get Inky! and link your creation up HERE.

Be sure to visit my blog to see more about my card and all the supplied I used.
