Valentine Flowers

Sorry we’ve been MIA for a while. One of us has been busy working on another project this week which was keeping us from our regular weekly schedule. We haven’t forgotten about you. We have lots of fun planned for here and on our YouTube channel. So stick with us!

PSA…Only a little over a week left until Valentine’s Day. I love flowers. I love how they smell, how they look, how they make me feel. What I don’t love though, is when they die. I think I’ve finally solved that with these!

Using Lawn Fawn papers, inks, and stitched circle dies, along with my floral dies, I created these fun flowers that can hold messages on the backs for your friends and loved ones.

To create the box, first I took my walnut lawn Fawn ink pad and rubbed it over the wood grain to make the embossing pop. Then I measured the green floral foam block I got at Michaels. I then scored my Lawn Fawn Wood Grain embossed card stock so I could fold it up around the long length of the foam (score at 3.75” from each 8” side). Then I scored along the 11” side only 1/4” in. I then made two 1/4” cuts along the score on each side so that I could fold in those little pieces to attach 3.75”x3.5” panels to the sides to complete my flower box. Covered the foam with moss, then carefully arranged my flowers with the taller ones in the back.
